Dr. Joy E. Hecht

consulting on
environmental
economics and
policy

Since 1988 I have consulted in the developing world on issues of environmental economics, policy, and statistics to clients including USAID, the World Bank, the United Nations, and other national development agencies. I have worked extensively in sub-Saharan Africa, the Maghreb, Egypt, south Asia, and south east Asia. I also spent four years managing a global program on environmental accounting for the IUCN / The World Conservation Union, and a year and a half managing a small non-profit policy organization working on sustainability issues at the state level in New Jersey. I am fluent in French and English, and speak some Spanish.
